Ability LLC has begun the process of integrating 585 with new mobile devices.
With the new 585 Attachment Wizard, employees can use an iOS device (iPod, iPhone, iPad)
to take pictures of parts, attach them directly to a selected database record, or browse existing
attachment images all from their work area.
Using the Attachment Wizard allows a company to easily create a robust collection of images and relate
those images to specific database records. Imagine each person in your company having the
capability to see what a part should look like through each stage of production; the Attachment
Wizard not only makes it possible, but also easy and efficient.
585 Attachment Wizard is scheduled to be released soon, and will have the ability to attach to
multiple types of items such as Routings, HR records, etc.
Along with this new app, Ability is creating a new mobile application to compliment
the desktop version of 585. It will be able to run on any mobile device running a
current web browser. This will eliminate the need to buy expensive Barcode Scanning
systems, and instead replace them with inexpensive mobile devices.
